HOW MUCH DOES IT COST PER LITER OF WATER TO USE A BERKEY FILTER?
This is one of the most exciting features of Berkey filters! Once you have purchased your Berkey system, there is no more additional costs until you have gone through thousands of liters of water! Berkey systems are powered by gravity and do not require electricity, nor do they need minerals added to the water.

The average cost to purify water over the life of your Berkey filters, assuming you are using only Black Berkey elements, is approximately 1.8 cents per liter.

Eg) The Big Berkey with 2 filtration elements costs $396. Two elements will allow you to filter 22,000 liters of water.
