Why Simply Berkey

We believe there are a few things in life that are necessary to have the capacity to live an optimally healthy life.
Clean air. Clean food. Clean water.

It seems simple enough until we realize that contaminants and pollutants are often present in each of those necessities for many people, even in Canada.

A few years ago, we were living in Iowa going to college and expecting our first child - it was a big change from life in Canada. We understood the importance of healthy food and water for the growing baby during the most important stages of life and development in the womb.

One day in the first trimester, a news story broke in our city that there were HIGHER LEVELS OF ARSENIC in the drinking water supply than what is considered safe for consumption. That was the turning point- the moment we realized we needed to do something about our water. 

We began learning about contaminants in water, even treated water, and how harmful they can be in small doses over time. While arsenic was uncommon, it still occurred. As we were expecting a new baby soon, it became of utmost importance for us to find the best water purification system we could, for our health and especially for our baby's.

After a short time, we found Berkey.

It has since become a passion of ours to ensure that people are aware of the importance of drinking pure and clean water, free of contaminants.

Simply water - nothing else.

Hence, Simply Berkey.

We absolutely love our Berkey System and the confidence we have knowing that we are drinking pure and clean water that increases our health instead of taking away from it.
